We are looking to grow our team of part-time and/or full-time senior team members to join our Practice team and support our multi-stakeholder engagement and alignment portfolio of projects at the intersection of community, industry, and government.
Ideal candidates have experience leading complex consulting projects and guiding clients through collaborative frameworks and processes. Leadership experience, expertise in collaborative design*, and knowledge of systems thinking** are strong assets.
We are looking for people that are creative, adaptive and thrive in collaborative environments. You must be able to manage multiple priorities and hold tension in multi-stakeholder environments – we are looking for people who are comfortable asking difficult questions, holding integrity of the design process, and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
This role includes facilitating critical engagements and sessions. You must be comfortable being “front of room” or “front of Zoom” for small group discussions (5–10 people) and large plenary conversations (50+ people). Travel for session delivery is essential. Candidates must also be confident in preparing written and visual deliverables and bring experience in research and synthesis of complex information into succinct final outputs and deliverables.
Part-time contracts may transition into permanent full-time positions depending on candidate ambitions and project volume.
*We define collaborative design as a process of creating with, not for. It is a highly participatory process where diverse people collaborate to create new products, services, or solutions. Applied, this involves leading participants through workshops and engagements to look at problems in new ways andwork together to develop solutions. The MG Taylor methodology of collaborative design is foundational to the practice at Coeuraj. Adjacent and complimentary methodologies are practiced and welcomed.
**Systems Thinking seeks to understand the full complexity of the dynamics and patterns across a system instead of trying to reduce problems into individual pieces. We use a combination of primary and secondary systemic design research methods to create visual representations of systems and help clients see themselves in new ways. We also lead experiences for clients to determinewhere leverage points might exist in their system and how they could influence change within it.
